Portals of Eternity
This collection of four ceramic sculptures, «Portals of Eternity,» embodies the metaphysical concept of time as an eternal cycle, where past, present, and future converge through the lens of rebirth. Each piece represents a unique «door» through which time flows, reimagined in ceramic form to symbolize the infinite passage and transformation of eras.
The first sculpture, «Genesis,» evokes the dawn of existence, with smooth, unadorned surfaces that mirror the purity of a world untouched by time. The delicate curves and soft hues suggest the nascent stages of life, where possibilities are endless, and time has yet to etch its mark.
«Transition,» the second door, is a fragmented and multifaceted structure, symbolizing the turbulent journey through time. Its sharp angles and intricate patterns reflect the chaotic beauty of life’s unfolding, where each crack and imperfection tells a story of growth, decay, and renewal.
«Memory,» the third sculpture, stands as a tribute to the past. Its surface is textured with imprints of forgotten histories, relics of distant eras preserved in the clay. This door is aged and weathered, yet dignified, capturing the essence of time as a keeper of all that has been.
The final piece, «Eternity,» is a door that transcends the physical. Its form is fluid, almost ethereal, with glazed surfaces that shimmer like a mirage. This sculpture represents the eternal nature of time, where beginnings and endings are illusions, and all moments coexist in a perpetual state of becoming.
Together, these sculptures invite the viewer to contemplate the cyclical nature of time, the constant transformation of all things, and the endless journey through the «doors» of existence. Each piece stands as a testament to the idea that time, though fleeting and ever-changing, is also eternal, with every moment reborn in the infinite dance of creation and destruction.
